HI-SCAN 100100T-2is is an advancement of the HI-SCAN 100100T, especially designed for screening oversized baggage and bulky freight reaching up to 100 x 100 cm (39 x 39 in.) in size.
The HI-SCAN 100100T-2is is equipped with two generators arranged in a 90° opposition,
thus beaming in two directions (Dual View).

This particular screening mode facilitates reliable inspections of tightly packed objects in one process while shortening inspection times and increasing the effectiveness of the

The IONSCAN 500DT fills the growing need of security professionals to have the ability to detect a wide range of substances and to be able to adapt as threats and their needs change. IONSCAN 400B TRACE DETECTOR
With billions of US dollars in drug and asset, seizures being made with the assistance of an IONSCAN, and thousands being used at major international airports, by the military and law enforcement agencies, the IONSCAN 400B is the world’s most popular desktop explosives or narcotics trace detector. A simple wipe with a swab over items such as checked or carry-on luggage, portable electronic devices, and packages is all that is necessary to collect a sample, which is then placed into the IONSCAN for analysis. In 8 seconds, the color-coded display presents results to the operator — red for a detection and green for the “all-clear”. If a contraband substance is detected, the specific name is identified on the display. A detection of trace explosives indicates that an explosives device may be present or that the person may have been handling explosive material in preparing a bomb and further investigation is necessary.

Leading aviation organizations, including the FAA/TSA in the United States, Transport Canada, and the BAA in the United Kingdom, have evaluated and approved the IONSCAN for their aviation security needs.

Sample Collection
Proper sample collection is key to the success of any trace detector. The swab sampler provided with every IONSCAN is the most effective sample collector available. The design allows sufficient force to be applied in sample collection without tiring the operator. HI-SCAN 10080 EDX-2is IN-LINE BAGGAGE SCANNER
The automatic explosive detection system HI-SCAN 10080 EDX-2is represents the latest advancement of the proven Smiths Heimann EDX technology. By making use of a dual view X-ray system the evaluation process improves dramatically. Amongst others, this allows the operator virtually to ‘look behind’ hidden objects located within the baggage. Using this dual view system, the rate of bags being rejected is considerably reduced. Thus, the need for a re-inspection at further levels is reduced drastically.

Within the proven multi-level method of checked baggage screening, all baggage is screened automatically for explosives by a high-speed Level 1 system, the EDX-2is. Bags cleared by the EDX-2is continue to their determined destination while rejected bags are automatically diverted to a second security level for further inspection. A common configuration of the multi-level approach would be to have images of rejected bags automatically transferred to an operator workstation for visual inspection (Level 2). Should further scrutiny be necessary, images and bag are sent to Level 3.

With the low throughput requirements for Level 3 screeners, multiple technologies exist for this application and implementation will be dependent on the security philosophy of the airport. Automation of the primary inspection process offers the added benefits of reducing both staff requirements and recurring costs.
